Enderby Fire Ban on Category 2 and Category 3 Open Burning in Effect as of May 17, 2024

A fire ban will be in effect as of 12:00 pm (noon) on May 17, 2024. The fire ban affects the City of Enderby and the Shuswap River Fire Protection District.

The fire ban is consistent with the Kamloops Fire Centre Direction, which prohibits:

  • Category 2 open fires;
  • Category 3 open fires;
  • Fireworks;
  • Sky Lanterns;
  • Binary Exploding Targets;
  • Burn Barrels or Burn Cages of any size or description; and,
  • Air Curtain Burners.

*Note that the City of Enderby Good Neighbour Bylaw provides additional regulations for campfires and outdoor fireplaces which must be followed if you live within the City. The City also has a permit system for all open burning; all permit holders must not open burn during the ban.
